How to make PERFECT pancakes

What you need:                                       Serving ideas: you can also add fruits or cream and sugar.

125g wholemeal plain flour

1 medium egg

275ml milk (any)

1 teaspoon of oil (for pan)

What you do:

Step 1- put the flour in a bowl, then break the egg into it. Beat the egg with a fork and add the milk bit by bit so the flour gradually gets mixed in.

Step 2- when you have added all the milk it will look quite runny and you'll still be able to see the brown bits from the flour .

Step 3-put a tiny bit of oil in a non-stick frying pan and get it REALLY hot. Then add just enough of your batter to cover the bottom of the pan, move the pan - around a bit to spread the batter out.

Step 4- it should take about a minute to cook the bottom of the pancake. Lift the edge up with a big knife or spatula to see it it looks done. If its ready, lift the pancake up with your knife (or spatula) and turn it over. The second side should cook a bit quicker.

And now when the other side is done, it will be time to serve and enjoy a TASTY snack!

Serves: 4 (makes 6-8 depending on how thick you make your pancake)
